FAQ's:
What is my password?
You will need to set a password for your account the first time you log in to the system. If you are a new family/student, click "register" and you will set up an account for your family. If you are a returning student/family and do not know or have a password, enter your email address (must be the address we have on file) and click "forgot password." This will immediately send you an email with a link to set your password. This should take you about one minute total to complete.
What if I want to change a class that my dancer is pre-registered for?
You can add classes and class fees at anytime using our online registration program. However, in order to drop or change a class, you will need to contact us either by phone (952) 996-9686 or email info@dancexchange.org. Your account will continue to be charged until you contact our office. If you start a class and drop mid-month, you will be charged for the remainder of that month. Remember that class fees are non-refundable after October 31.
Why do I need to choose each class twice (on the 2010-2011 Class Schedule and the Class Fees schedule)?
In order that you know all of your fees up front and can begin making payments immediately, you will need to choose your class and then choose that class again on the class fee schedule. The 2010-2011 schedule will reserve your dancer's spot in that class and calculate your tuition. The class fee schedule will add costume, tights, recital fee, competition fees and accessory fees to your account in monthly payments. The monthly class fee is listed as the "session charge."
How is tuition calculated?
Regular season tuition is determined per family and based on a rate of $12 per hour of class, invoiced monthly (in 4 week increments). To see detailed tuition and class fee (costume, etc.) rates, click here.
What is my tuition total if I have more than one dancer and my family has exceeded 4 hours of dance per week?
The single dancer unlimted tuition cap is $192 per month. After your family has reached 4 hours per week, each additional dancer will be charged only $24 per month for unlimited tuition.
Why are my tuition charges off by 1 cent?
The Studio Director software allocates tuition charges across the classes that a student is taking. Sometimes this causes a rounding error. For example, if a student is taking 3 classes, and they are each 1 hour long, and they are charged $100 for the month, the Studio Director will charge $33.33 for each class. But, if you add that up, it will total to $99.99, not $100.
The information on this page applies to registration for the 2010-2011 season (August 23, 2010-June 4, 2011)
