The DanceXchange recently partnered with Crosstown Life Time Fitness to offer dance classes on site. 

Our studio opened its doors in 2003, and currently teaches more than 300 students. We have a high-quality recreational dance program in addition to an award-winning competition dance program. We are family-friendly and committed to providing dance education in a nurturing environment.

CLASS SCHEDULE AND SHOE INFORMATION:

  • Creative Movement with Ballet/Tap for 18 months to three years (PINK BALLET/BLACK TAP SHOES), 10:15-11 a.m. Mondays in the Child Care Center
  • Hip-Hop for 4-6 year-olds (ANY WHITE TENNIS SHOES), 5:45-6:30 p.m. Mondays in the Child Care Center
  • Hip-Hop for 7-12 year-olds (ANY WHITE TENNIS SHOES), 6:45-7:30 p.m. Mondays in the Child Care Center
  • Hip-Hop for Teens/Adults Ages 16+ (ANY WHITE TENNIS SHOES), 8-8:45 p.m. Mondays in Studio One
  • Jazz/Tap with Ballet Technique for 2-5 year-olds (BLACK TAP/BLACK JAZZ OR BALLET SHOES), 10:15-11 a.m. in the Child Care Center
  • Jazz/Tap with Ballet technique for 6-8 year-olds (BLACK TAP/BLACK JAZZ SHOES), 4:45-5:45 p.m. Thursdays in the Child Care Center
  • Jazz/Tap with Ballet Technique for 3-6 year-olds (BLACK TAP/BLACK JAZZ SHOES), 10:15-11 p.m. Friday in the Child Care Center

CLASS FEES

While tuition for these classes is paid through Crosstown Life Time Fitness, class fees are paid to the DanceXchange to cover the costs of costume, alterations, tights and recital fee. This is a separate charge, and is paid  through the DanceXchange. Once we initiate class fee billing for this season, we will contact you regarding payment plans. Class fee totals per dancer/per class are $90 for 45 minute classes and $108 for one hour classes.

Class fees will not be charged at this time. We apologize for the delay in class fee billing. We hoped to start class fee billing in November, however we want to be fully certain that all of our LTF families as well as the staff at LTF have the correct information and understand the class fee billing before we order costumes. CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Cancellation within 3 Days or before first service. I may obtain a refund of any amount I have paid under this Agreement if I cancel it within three (3) business days of my registration date.
  • Cancellation After First Class. Once the first class has occurred, I may cancel this Agreement at any time with 30 days notice, but all payments I have made to or that have been processed by LTF prior to its receipt of my written cancellation notice are non-refundable.

 

HOW TO CANCEL:

  • Please call LTF Dance Director, Christina Koskinen at (952) 996-9686 ext. 9 to cancel. Christina will contact both LTF and DanceXchange to ensure that your cancellation is completed properly. 
  • All classes scheduled within the 30 days after LTF’s receipt of a cancellation must be paid for whether attended or not. Refunds are not given for missed class. If LTF cancels class for any reason LTF will reimburse for canceled class or schedule a suitable make up class.

 

DROP-IN CLASS

Single classes are available for those interested in trying our Hip-Hop for Teens/Adults Ages 16+, which meets 8-8:45 p.m. Mondays in Studio One. The cost for 45 minutes of class is $9, and $15 for an hour and 15 minutes of class. Punch cards are available, please contact Christina at (952) 996-9686 ext. 9 for current puch card rates.

 

FAMILY WATCH WEEK DATES:

During Family Watch Week, parents, siblings, family and friends are invited to watch classes. Those dates are:

  • Jan. 9-15
  • March 5-11

 

DRESS CODE:

Dancers are expected to come to class dressed in appropriate dancewear. No jeans or street shoes are allowed.

  • Creative Movement: No dress code.
  • Kid’s Combo Classes (ages 2-6): Leotard (with or without a skirt) tights of any color. Hair pulled back.
  • Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, etc. (ages 6+): Leotard or tank top and dance pants or exercise shorts, hair pulled back. 
  • Hip Hop: Tank top with shorts and tights. Sweatpants may also be worn.
  • Adult classes: No dress code.

 

RECITAL ASSIGNMENTS

All Life Time satellite dancers will have the option to perform in the 2012 recital Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, at The Arts Center on Highway 7 (Minnetonka High School Theater). Additional costume fees are required to cover costume, tights and alterations (see “class fee” section). If you have not yet completed your 2012 Spring Recital Registration Form, please see your teacher or pick up a form at the member services desk. Here are the assignments for which recital your student can participate in:

  • All Monday & Saturday classes: Show A, 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2
  • All Tuesday & Wednesday classes: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2
  • All Thursday and Friday classes: 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3

 

WEATHER POLICY:

If you have reason to believe that class may be cancelled due to weather, please call the studio 952-996-9686 for cancellation message left on our voicemail. We will also post cancellations on the top of our website homepage and send an email out to everyone on our newsletter mailing list.

If your school district cancels school, this does not necessarily mean dance classes are cancelled. If your class is cancelled more than once, it will be rescheduled or a make-up option made available if the schedule permits. Refunds will not be issued for missed lessons due to weather. Dancers are welcome to make up missed classes either at Life Time or at the DanceXchange.
